And maybe you’ll get that 7-win strike for the champion capsule! It’s a great mode to learn the combat tricks of each faction and to get the basics of the game. If you want to try other playstyles or need to improve your collection of champion cards without trying to build a specific deck, play expeditions. Also there will be end of season rewards so that’s worth it. If you like your PvP deck and you want to improve with it, play PvP. You have to draft a deck each time you start an expedition.The games are slower cause the decks are not so weel-rounded as their PvP counterparts.The extra XP, the champion and the shards you get from expeditions come at a price, two prices actually : Not enough to reach level 12 unfortunately. That’s 1400 more XP each week + shards + the champion. So for 2 trials, that makes 1100 XP instead of 900 XP on average.

Let’s take the worst case for example (remember you win 50% of your games). Here are the details of bonus XP you get at the end of each trial :

To start, you only get 100 XP per win and 50 XP per loss, but there is a XP bonus at the end of each trial to compensate. If we speak only in XP, it’s slightly more rewarding to play expeditions than PvP mode.

Of course if you are lucky enough to have more free time on your schedule, go for the max level ! But what about expeditions ? XP in ExpeditionsĮxpeditions are a great way to get champions because no matter your results, you always get at least one champion card in each expedition. That makes 18000 XP each week, enough to reach Weekly Vault 11 with only 1 hour of your time each day in PvP mode.

You’ll get 900 XP for 3 wins and 3 losses + 700 bonus XP for your 3 first wins daily. The 3 first wins of each day gives you more XP (400/200/100), so let’s say you play 6 ranked games a day(approximatively 1 hour of your time) with a 50% winrate (The higher the better !). Play :Each win gets you 200 XP and each defeat gets you 100 XP (not in exepdition mode but we’ll get to it later). Quests : Each quest gives at least 1000 XP so if you complete the 7 quests each week, you get at least 7000 XP. There are two ways to get XP in Legends of Runeterra : Getting Weekly Vault 11 by playing in Normal / Ranked mode
